The Future Perfect Continuous Tense

12. The Future Perfect Continuous Tense

The Future Perfect Continuous Tense mengemban hubungan yang sama dengan The Future Perfect Tense, seperti halnya The Present Perfect Continuous Tense dengan The Present Perfect Tense. Baik The Future Perfect Tense maupun The Future Perfect Continuous Tense memperlihatkan kegiatan yang akan terjadi atau akan rampung sebelum kegiatan / waktu lain di masa depan dan penggunaan keterangan waktunya yang sama, yaitu by dan in: by then, by that time, by next year, by eight o’clock; in a week’s time, in two hours, in three years, in no time. By this time next year George will have taken his university degree. When George gets his degree, he will have been studying for four years.

Pembuatan kalimat positif tersusun dari kata bantu kerja will atau shall setelah subyek, selanjutnya diikuti have been dan kata kerja ( present participle ) –ing. Kalimat negatifnya dengan menambahkan kata not setelah will atau shall (won’t / shan’t) dan interogatifnya dengan menempatkan kata kerja bantu di depan subyek dan seterusnya.

Pola Kalimat:

(+) S + will/shall + have + been + V1 + ing + O/Adv.
(-)  S + will/shall + not + have + been + V1 + ing + O/Adv.
(?) Will/Shall + S + have + been + V1 + ing + O/Adv.
